Millikan has found its new football head coach.

The Rams are in agreement with Romeo Pellum to be the next man in charge of the football program, taking over for Justin Utupo, who resigned in December.

Pellum still needs to be cleared by the Long Beach Unified School District before an official announcement of his hiring can be made. This process could be completed as soon as this week.

The new head Ram is a Long Beach native who started his high school career at Jordan before playing at Santa Fe High his senior year. He was an assistant for two years at Santa Fe after a playing career at Washington State and in the Arena League.
